Lichtenberg is eleventh district of Berlin with 10 localities: Friedrichsfelde, Karlshorst, Lichtenberg, Falkenberg, Malchow, Wartenberg, Neu-Hohenschönhausen, Alt-Hohenschönhausen, Fennpfuhl and Rummelsburg. This district contains Tierpark , the largest wildlife park of Europe and Stasi Museum(former headquarters of the Stasi, the East German intelligence service). Lichtenberg also has German-Russian Museum, the historical venue of German armed forces surrender in August 1945
Lichtenberg with its extended rail yards is the central transport facility of East Berlin, together with Berlin Ostbahnhof. Berlin-Lichtenberg railway station is present in Lichtenberg district and is located on the Eastern Railway,Wriezen Railway and Berlin Frankfurter Allee–Berlin-Rummelsburg railway lines. The station is also part of the S-Bahn and U-Bahn network
